Here We Are Once More Poem by Timothy Long

Here We Are Once More

It makes no difference now,
Life has escaped,
Don't try to change it,
Maybe it hasn't hit emotionally yet,
Desiring not to die but not to exist either,
Isolation from the outside world weighs heavy on the heart,
Any time can break it apart,
Here the depression goes once more,
Letting the tears stain the floor,
Working only to become so poor,
Many will say and feel the same,
The system is full of heartless shame,
The future will only darken,
There's nothing easy about about giving up,
Not much use to life anymore,
Just seemed to go wrong to many times,
The mist won't lift from the eyes,
A bored less life full of surprises,
The pleasantries get fake,
The longer living takes,
If destruction and division be our last,
Let it be our end,
The end of nothingness is desired,
But fear holds many through a terrible night,
Remembering brings the trouble,
Forgetting brings the uncertainty,
It ends regardless in darkness,
Care will never come,
Even if change happens,
It's never gonna last,
Time is just a sad thing of the past,
Do or don't see the future through,
It's ultimately up to you!
