Mamangam the festival under dynastic rules
In Kerala, erstwhile Malabar the battlefield
Several youths trained as volunteers
Who trained for fighting and death in fights
The heroes of Mamangam the history tells
Stoutly stood with their glittering swords
And fought between the force of the King
And eventual martyr himself in Mamangam
The true heroes of the time in Thirunavaya
The mamangam festival ceased to exist
A modern world we passes through
Where human rights are protected, highlighted.
