This is for Judy who
-should have been
-my wife and my friend
-I lost her; stupid

Saw photo of flood
-Highway 10, San Anton

There we met, encountered
-you were with a friend…
-don't recall who she was
-what was name…

We were young
-you, great and smart
-I was dumb
-dumb, dumb, dumb

Things have gone
-each of us on a path
-all enforced
-by parents and homeland

Damn, damn, damn!

I should have
-stayed there
-stayed then
-but, but, but…
-knew not
-or could not?

Lot is there to talk of
-Haley and the flood
-brought you into mind
-please send me a note
