Hibiscus Hopes Poem by Asma Khan

Hibiscus Hopes

Rating: 5.0

If only I was given the destiny to see
when hopes are counted in one, two and three
the hourglass would spend all it has got
till I step in and out to be free

If only I was given a day to live more
shall wash all sorrows I ever bore
tell not who may have to come along
but those who stayed by the shore

If only we were kept together
all birds would fly in a feather
clouds couldn't be any heavier
when the hearts have a clear weather

If only in our hands, we had more time
when hearts sang the same rhythm and rhyme
don't climb days and skips nights in curse
remember loving someone is no crime!

If only you still lived in my heart
I had offered you diamonds from every part
no price shall pay me your worth for sure
though my heart learnt this till we depart
