That you may hide me in Thee
Covered in Your righteousness
Shielded from all the vileness
Akin to the world and my heart
Removed from all these doubts
That flood to unsettle my mind
And to hijack in vain affections

Purify my heart with your word
Drive away all the little foxes
Seeking to ravage my vineyard
To overwhelm me with concerns
To focus on needs and wants akin
To livelihood, welfare and family

Let my mind understand your way
Let my heart rest my trust in you
To wait with hope and confidence
Your faithfulness to reassure me
Your steadfastness to uphold me
To stand unshaken always in Thee
And to face the world without fear
