High Hopes Poem by Howard Kern

High Hopes

I know you must feel, a love that lingers,
As generations draw near.
Young smart woman, aloof and astray,
Come to papa, some may say.
Sweet baby girl, when I am old and gray,
Remember our love, as youth goes away.
Lovely young woman, clever and quick,
Come stay with papa,
Before he's too old or sick.
From the blossom of a girl,
What type woman will appear?
Learning of life, atop a hillside sheer,
Love awaits, for generations to draw near.
Think fond of this man,
His heart you hold today,
You're his baby forever, even beyond grave.
Precious time together, makes a mountain of Love.
High hopes of life's meaning,
Given from God above.

Experience is admixtured with imagination and then you get the excellent acceptable idea on love of the senior citizens. Howard, I love and honor your message that you spreaded over this nice composition.10+ with pleasure.
