High Places Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

High Places

At each of the high places they burnt incense,
Just as the nations have done before;
But i am here with my love like the red light.
Lu and Chia came to ask of your love last night,
And of the rules and the regulations so set before them;
For Chia's chair was at the corner and,
I was on the wall watching you all.
The water reflected your image of love to them and,
Your beauty was seen at the high places of love;
But my views were like the things so seen with your love.
