Him Poem by Alice Noct

Him

He is tall
He is night
He is mean
He is horrible
He is beautiful
He is ugly
He holds me
And he runs away
He makes me who I am
He kills me with all his heart
He loves me
He hates me
He resents me
He repents me
He never stops to think about what life would be
If I wasn't there to absorb this.
He will catch me as I fall
In my awkward graceful
Downward spiral
and He calls me beautiful
And I love him
I despise him
I regret him
I relive him
I want him
I need him
I need to want him
I want to need him
and all the while
The Wind is howling around us
As we dance the night
And until the flame dies
In the moonlit bonfire
Our hearts never touch
Never mesh
Never wanted too
Until we reach out
Like Adam and God
To Touch each others heart.
And then he laughs
and rides my bicycle
into the night.
And is lost to the angels.
