Him Poem by arianna strickland

Him

He sits there waiting.
so quit and safe.
eyes wandering lifelessly.
longing to be awake.

she sits there wanting.
so scared and lost.
eyes fixed so surrtenly.
longing to fall asleep.

he loves another girl.
or so it may seem.
she loves another man.
at least she pretends.

stolen words..
stolen moments.
wild thoughts and hopeless seconds.

a fire is light.
neither one of them can tell.
eyes they met.
eyes could tell.

she will sit in the shadows.
he will hide in the darkness.
both will hide nothing right.
longing ignites.

but then they wake.
and they see.
nothing could be as right as that.
but they cant.

they have lost each other
but will keep each other
locked up inside.

stolen words..
stolen moment.
wild thoughts..
reckless minds..

body's intertwined.
minds lost to find.
hearts broken
lives started and
above all
LOVE found...

there they sit all alone.
living there lives with another.
only glancing to the one they love.
