Hindsight Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

Hindsight

Bending over backward until my spine cracked
Dizzy from echoes of your tirades
Psycho enough to trigger heart attacks
Weak as a jellyfish in biodegrade

My body is a nervous wreck
Your lunacy has stacked the deck

Digging with bent shovels of esteem
Infantile acts of timed regression
Zombie like terrains of forgotten dreams
Dramas of giddiness and depression

My brain has been pulled through the nose
All my toenails are missing from the toes

Slaughtered in a field as a sacrifice
Body cremated into powered dust
Bones soundly crushed for gambling dice
Winds of oblivion sweep in a gust

May God have mercy on my soul
For falling into your putrid Rat Hole!

An excellent poem to recite aloud! To take a negative experience like the one you went through and turn into beautiful flowing verse is a gift! Thank you for sharing!

Sounds like you were married to my X-wife You took the words right out of my mouth that I wish I could scream so poeticlly 10+
