His Love Unspoken Poem by Holly Jamestone

His Love Unspoken

You said you couldn't say the words
When feeling they're expected
And gradually your silence
Left her quite neglected

But one day you will realize
Your eyes will clearly see
If those three words were lacking
You should have set her free

Your vacant eyes and absent hugs
Were voids she would not miss
And all that you're left to embrace
Are memories of her kiss

'I Love You' never graced your lips
No actions held the key
And if you'd walked away back then
You'd set her kind heart free

Someday you will comprehend
While wishing on a star
How tragic the reality
Of who you truly are

If in your newfound loneliness
You seek the light above
Don't extend your hand that way
Unless you can give love

Until then do not look for her
As that search will be blind
And she will have another's heart
With only him in mind

If on that day you ache for her
Be thankful in just knowing
The words you couldn't say back then
With him are overflowing
