His Wings And A Man

Rating: 4.8

His Wings And A Man

Night soldiers are here for no retreat,
They parade every night in every street,
Hunting for the souls of every street,
O God und'r your wings I am, not the street.

When night daught'rs come to trade their soul,
Und'r your wings, O, preserve my soul.

I pray thee, let the night daught'rs pass o'er me
O Lord, let no night work'r devour me.

Thou has created me, shall I be slay?
But only thy purpose, und'r thy wings I must lay,
Let no sin deliv'r me into their hand, I pray,
Will sins of bra and britches cause me to decay?

Thou who has saved me in the womb till now,
Only in thy name I will always say avow.
