Hold My Hand Poem by Cathy Phew

Hold My Hand

An ocean of tears invade your eyes
I see you fighting to hold them inside
The anger within you suffocates your joy
Unable to speak, to express what you feel
In your silence i hear you asking 'Why? '
In my endevours, the answer i cannot find.

Don't fight any more, just let go
Its alright to cry, don't hold those tears inside
I wish that i could take you pain away
Am sorry that your life has been this way

I don't know what it means to be in your shoes
I can't feign to comprehend your woes
But i love you, so your darkness is not your own
Am sorry for i wish i was in control
But God cares and yes, He already knows

Hold my hand for a minute and close your eyes
Imagine a life of utopia, just visualize
In your heart believe it, don't compromise
Now open your eyes, i know there is hope

Throughout your walk in this sad storm
I'll be there as you try to find you way home
I am not good with directions
there are chances of confusion
But am good at jokes
So we can laugh when we are lost

And when the sun shines at last
I hope that we will play and dance
But until then, hold my hand
Don't let go even after the storm.
