Holding In The Breakdown Poem by Brandi Guthrie

Holding In The Breakdown

The inevitable fall like never before
Is creeping in through cracks in my door.
And locked, I keep tight my misery abound.
Behind which I`m holding in the breakdown.
For the years of insanity I would confide,
Now its blackness consumes me from the inside.
Ooze seeping out from scars that I wear,
Through eyes shown vacant, lost in the stare.
Burring down pain, a ritual is born.
In self-hating patterns, I bare my own scorn.
I writhe in this shell that remains for the show.
The torture brews deep till death do I go.
