All Of Me Poem by Brandi Guthrie

All Of Me

Rating: 5.0

All of me and things I`ll never be,
Evaporation and what I cannot see.
Confound and cloud my reality…
In this life of death and finality.
My days merge and tend to blend,
With nights spilling its lethal ends.
I supplicate for the most basic needs
Submerged in dearth and desperacies
I reluctantly sacrifice my will and self
Storing desires on the highest shelf.
Blessings withdraw their jovial pledge...
A withering promise of flight and fledge.
Too much weight, it`s bearing down.
Hesitations fasten me to the ground.
I cannot see, my eyes are bleached
And my mind pours from every breach.
Insecurity invades my solitary space,
Till I no longer recognize my own face.
