Holding On Poem by John Leroy Maxwell

Holding On

I was thinking about you, missing you, loving you
Hoping all is well and good, at this time in your life
I think of you every day, and miss your sweet smile,
your beautiful face, and your elegant body, your
playful ways
Whatever happened between us, and things that
went wrong have passed us
I relish in the real closeness we had in the beginning
Wow! I mean we were out of control, in love
The bonds we shared, the oneness of us
You and I, only one being, separated only by the
necessities of our gender
God, I miss and love you
I really have to go now, my eyes are swelling up,
and the tears are running down my cheeks
I remember at times when we were so happy with
each other, we would wipe away each others tears
of joy
Before I go, I want you to know I'm watching over you
And some day when I'm up in Heaven, and God
thinks you are ready
He will send me down to take you by the hand, and
lift you up
We'll travel up to Heavens Gate, together
And live in an Angelic Realm
