Holding On - Poem by Broken Angel

i made a promise,
not to you,
but me.
It was hard,
but i had to do it.
I promised,
i wouldn't go anywhere,
i'll never leave you,
even in the darkest hours,
i'll be right there.
My promise,
was to keep holding on,
not for me,
but for you,
because i don't want you,
to do the same thing,
if i was too.
I asked you,
if you would,
you answered: I'm not sure.
I said,
please don't ever even think that,
but your leading me to believe,
if i do it,
you would too.
Maybe that shows,
how much you care,
but i can't let that happen,
and i wont.
So i'll be here,
i'm not going anywhere,
i'm holding on,
till the end of time.
: : end: :

**this is a promise to my best friend(christina) ...that i wouldnt commit suicide, though the only reason i finally promised that, was because she seemed to act like she would do the same if i did that deed and so being the person i am.I just couldn't let that happen.**

    When you become speechless
That’s when I get the answer
So I am going to hold on
Not for me but for you
    For if you do that
My ghost would never be at rest

Wow, I so much like your poem because you made a very good promise, and I also want to thank your friend for being such a rare gift. I think the poem is written out of pride, because you are so much proud of having such a caring and understanding friend (and I jealous you for that) I want you guys to keep being good friends, also I want you to keep it up.
