Holly Poem by chris schwartz

Holly

Damn, Holly!
Wanted to talk to you.
Just wanted to
See when you knew
But you were too wise to
Tell me
I am just like you.
Another life
Gone forever
Except at the hands
Of a few.
Sometimes I wish
That I could be you.
Damn, Holly!
We sure had our fun!
Around a table
Filled with love
We had life's moment
In the small palm of live
That keeps us breathing.
Carry on, friend.
The views of the wise
Are breathtaking and final.
Unbeknownst to
The stupid and wandering
That you so loved.
