Hollywood And Persian Carpet Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Hollywood And Persian Carpet

Hollywood and Persian Carpet

Like a Persian carpet
I’m flat, colorful; well-knotted
Shallow is my vast pool
But each thread, well-spun, well-colored
I take role in design; fantastic
To the eye and the life; nothing but benefit

I therefore isolate
No Judgment on the height or the depth
I am not tall tree; fruitless
No comment and no change
(I am not Chameleon)
Hollywood has stars
(The actors, directors)
So do gyms, rinks and fields

Jackson-five and Simpson
Young Justin or Whitney Huston
I saw Michael Jackson
Then Roman Polanski
Woody Allen is new; game of sex

This valley of the dolls
Is not mine
Not with am; not against
My wide pool is carpet
Deep in me and humble
Connections is zero
Relation is narrow; too shallow

No cry when they come
No tear when they leave or they die
Let them come, let them go
As do the seasons; days and nights
Let them go high or fall

Who are they why should care?
