All you were afraid of was missing me,
cause all you wanted was loving me.
You knew me, but it wasn't enough,
cause I knew the mosaic of your heart should be kept in a titanium vault
and knew the touch of your true-blue spirit was the only thing that made me bold.
You knew me, but it wasn't enough,
cause I knew that waking up with you under my sky blue bedsheets
and kissing you on your cheek while you're asleep was the rollercoaster of my heartbeats.
You knew me, but it wasn't enough,
cause I knew that shouting out at the stars was a waste of time;
they aren't even there, so what do they know about my design?
You knew me, but it wasn't enough,
cause they never knew a thing about the weight of your hand in my pocket,
but I knew my picture would always be the first thing in your locket.
You knew me, but it wasn't enough,
cause I knew I had to light all of the woods to make you see the smoke
and knew your epitome of danger was not a joke.
You knew me, but it wasn't enough,
cause I knew your flood would've drowned my realm
and knew I would've shattered my soul into twelve.
You knew me, but it wasn't enough,
cause I knew you would've wished I would've called you mine,
and knew to have you all over me would be a dead-
end line.
You knew me, but it wasn't enough,
cause I knew to lose heart in order to not get blind
and knew your blood would mean to change my mind.
You knew me, but it wasn't enough,
and I knew the diamond fire would not fit into the page,
cause I knew everything but deceiving when I was your age.
You knew you anointed me with the holiest oil,
just for you can watch me now and forever boiling.
