Please Interfere Poem by Cristian Bendria

Please Interfere

It must've been the way things went down
cause now I'm your hometown,
but sometimes I wish I was a seagull to fly through new skies
just like the rumors ‘bout you and I.
Please interfere,
I'm still on that rock by the water
dreamin' ‘bout someone's daughter.
Starbucks Doubleshot Expresso eyes
looking into mine.
I swear my soul roared on the inside
when our hands got electrified.
Black plastic straw fell to the ground,
they said, "such a somber sound".
Please interfere,
the city forgot the whole thing,
I, I couldn't find my mom's ring
cause my pockets were full of sand
and Miss "between Easter and Christmas" found another homeland.
Please interfere,
I'm still right here
thinkin' ‘bout the place
where I first saw your face.
Cannot take back my mind
from your south-danubian smile.
Oh, you damn well remember,
but, Augustina, tomorrow's September.

Please Interfere
