Holy Shepherd Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Holy Shepherd

Rating: 0.5

I am carried in the clouds
Haunting no one
Heading toward the light
Your touch is a magic earth
Heaven in blue azure soul
On the sands of stars I see
Withered away by time on a beech

You reach for the ancient salt canyon
Granite worship where meteors swim
Leaving Egypt like a umbilical child
Slavery seems easier than freedom
Hope is a solid word, a rock of spirit
My course is set
I do want you to leave your homeland

The fire in the desert is blessed
Our conversation like psalm trees
Pomegranates by a stream
Rewards as deep as wells
We sleep in eternal arms
She feeds and waters the camels
Holy Shepherd in and out of time
