Home (2) Poem by Carl Roussell

Home (2)

When is a house a home?
When walls, floors, ceiling
Do more than confine
Helping to define
One human's being

Is there someone
Waiting for her?
Perhaps they left
So what is left?

Walking right
Through the door
Breathing deep

She knows
She is
