Kellie Teter

Home. - Poem by Kellie Teter

I am in a constant
battle with myself
and always losing
I am one foot in the door
and one out in the
middle of no where
stuck between what
I want to be real
and finding out it's all make believe
I feel like a fish thats
lived in salt water since birth
and has just been thrown
into the river
I can't breathe
this water isn't clean
and it's killing me
my insides are burning
and the one place
I've been running from
is the only place I wanna go
Home.
