I Do, I Will Marry You. Poem by Kellie Teter

I Do, I Will Marry You.

Can I trust you?
You say I can
but I won't let myself
I can't get hurt again
I can't take the pain
You asked for my hand
you want me to take
your last name
But are you really sure
do you want me
and only me for the
rest of your life
To come home to me
for me to be your wife?
My answer is yes
and that will never change
I want you to be the last man
I lay with, my everything
my all...
But please be sure
because my heart is fragile
and it's pain that I fear
I couldn't bare to lose you
through all that we
have been through
through all we've said and done
Your the only person
I'd give my life too
So I guess all I have to
say is I do...
