Home At Last (Dedicated To Dusten) Poem by Heather Burns

Home At Last (Dedicated To Dusten)

As I looked across the
great expanse of time
clouds gathered,
the wind
whispered your name.

DUSTEN, DUSTEN!

The air became misty
a sadness filled
the surround
angels were hovering
and weeping.

Suddenly I heard soft
voices signing
in the distance.

A song of welcome
welcome home DUSTEN
Welcome home

Dusten was on his way
home.

It was then I realized
I must release him
for his heavenly journey
home.

Let your spirit soar as
a bird in flight
I bowed my heart
silently released him to
the wind
to be carried in the arms
of the angels home.

Home at last.
