Honest Mistake Poem by Sugar Bear

Honest Mistake

Like the branches that fall off the trees
Like the path the wind blows in the leaves
Melted ice cream that drips onto your hand
None of it was planned

Realize
I never meant
To make it this way

Like grass that blows in the lake
It was an honest mistake
Don't try to make it hurt
You'll, just make it worse
You'll just make it worse

Like paint that spills on your clothes
Like expired food starts to mold
Don't think of it as a crime
It wasn't a lie
It wasn't a lie
Just a change of mind

Realize
I never meant
To make it this way

Like gardens all have a snake
It was an honest mistake
Don't try to make it hurt
You'll, just make it worse
You'll just make it worse

Like dusty air makes you sneeze
Like bad hygiene makes you stink
You need to realize
I'm not tryna hide
Because it wasn't a lie

Realize
I never meant
To make it this way

Like rabbits just like to hop
I needed proof, but forgot
Don't try to encourage hate
It, just was an honest mistake
Just an honest mistake
I made.
