Honey Bird, Light, Hill Poem by @claremariewithpoetry Clare Marie Dennington

Honey Bird, Light, Hill

We are honey,
He says,
Sticky with it.
I am bird, I say,
Calling to you.
We are bird,
He says,
Calling back, laughing.
Suddenly we chase,
And the light drops so beautifully
And the shadows on the hill
Reveal the sunlight, so vivid.
I am me
I say, caressing his face
You are you, he says,
Kissing my lips.
If the light changes,
We dance,
For shadows have no place here.
No place, just light,
And hill.
