Hope Poem by Jae Ifejika

Hope

Rating: 2.5

In the stillness of night, I hear the cries
Of anguish and bitterness, echoing across the skies
A chorus of pain, a lamentation deep
A call to our Mother earth in plea to redeem us

In a chaotic world, a whisper calls
A ray of sunshine pierces the walls
The word of God, is like a bridge to pass
Leading me to greatness, no matter the loss
A whisper in the storm, Keep going, I'm with you.

After the cries of the sky, it smiles with colours
And in that, hope is restored,
Keeping us floating when everything around us is drowning.
With a still voice that tells
Keep on moving.
