Hope Poem by Twisted Moon

Everything is going to be okay
Or that's what I tell myself anyway
But things just seem so distant
So delicate, so inconsistent
Losing hope as the days go by
Our destiny is unreachable and I don't know why
Perhaps we set our goals to high
Perhaps our love will shrivel up and die
There is just too many things in between
The things we want, the things we've seen
We can never fully have eachother
While hanging on to former lovers
And I know it is hard to say good-byes
But we cannot bond until we sever old ties
And until then this isn't real
We're just two lost souls hiding how we feel
I pray for no complications like a walk in the park
But even with my candle of hope the outlook is dark
But even with all this sadness I see
If God is real then he wants us to be
And one day we'll look into eachothers eyes
And see nothing but love, no despair, no lies.
