Hope Poem by Abdul Basit

when pain embraces me and becomes riveted to my heart,
when my heart is shackled by failures,
when my heart sears with depression,
whenever this world ought to strangle my blue sky,
when i teeteer on the verge of breaking down,
hope is the only thing which replinshes life inside me,
it swims inside myself when the world is against me,
it never dies, always beams at me,
infusing streams of resolution in myself
