Hope Poem by Bireswar Halder

Hope

Stricken with grief and mental agony,
That made her pale and lean by tyranny.
Stretching her eyes towards the blue sky,
Thinks her life is full of deception and lie.

She dreamt for a sweet home like others,
To serve and love all family members.
She wanted to be a loving mother,
To complete her motherhood in cheer.

All her hopes and beliefs made in life,
Washed away not recognizing as wife.
Being driven by human lust and cruelty
She was forced to exhaust her chastity.

Thinking her to be simple and weak,
Now she is thrown away to the street.
Is human life so cheap to her fiancé
Like an earthen cup lying in a dustbin?

What a pity to her active human life!
She finds no way of standing the strife.
Is there anybody to relieve her pains,
With love and sympathy forgiving all stains?
