Hope And Light (2002-2004) Poem by Lillian B. Rose

Hope And Light (2002-2004)

Rating: 4.5

As a child, I felt safe with You
As I never else did in life
A place of hope and light
The promise of your eyes
You were my refuge and my shelter
As tempests tore the seam of my life
You were my will as people
Turn their back unable to break
Through the pain of a lost childhood
And the tale of sadness beyond my eyes
Would continue to grow: still now
You are my miracle but even You can't be
Enough to turn my rain to sunshine
And I fear Your light is leaving me
Now that I need You the most
