Hope for chances

Yes it is felt
And smelt
The fragrance of flower
And flow of calm water

Why kings in past denounced violence?
Gave up kingdom for propagation of peace
Sent peace emissaries all over world
And set foothold for peaceful mould

Lord Buddha has interesting tales
Peace and harmony was with ringing bells
People used to attend his gatherings
And turned to simple, truthful and non violent livings

Lord Mahavira* gave message of non violence
And so 23 others spread peace within India
It is this cultivation that we are liking harmony
Peaceful living with no hatred in country

We suffered a lot on this account
As kings were not united and failed counter
As result they were made slaves
And their population was subdued in regions

We have recovered again
With federal set up and nation as one
We are tormented again and again with disturbances
But have hope for better chances
