Hope
Do we have it now?

Can we grab onto that thread that is alive
Running through our country

It is hard
Not to get caught
Up in the
Hope
The promise of better days

Somewhere in our consciences
We know it is
This hope that
Carry us through most days

I want to believe it too
Not falter
Still I know,
You know
He is one man

Courageous as he is
To take on this role
That anyone
Would be humbled
Brought to their knees

We must
Still follow
This leader

So I pray
And you pray too
That he is given the opportunity
To lead us
All to a brighter day
