Hope Of Light Poem by Satish Verma

Hope Of Light

In cold feet, a
love song is heard to wake
up the impatient pain of heart.

Why does the moon start
breaking to meet the tyrants
to drink the last cup of hemlock?

I raise my hand
to be crucified for the sake of
stolen lips of true men.
