Hope, The Rarest Treasure Poem by Wangchat konyak

Hope, The Rarest Treasure

Silver and gold, I do not possess.
Castles and islands, I do not own.
I own no things to call my own.
All I had was once a thousand dreams,
Dreams to cherish and chase upon.
Sadly, those too have withered with time.
Now, all that I have is a story to tell —
Of pride, wildness, and impulse;
Of failure, loss and regret;
Of kindness, love, and honour.
And out of all that has been gone,
Hope is the only rarest treasure
That dares to remain with me.
