Hopeless Howling Poem by Emma Woods

Hopeless Howling

The wolf howls to the moon
And I call out to you
Would you ever return my cries
Even if he moon wouldn't answer the wolf?
Am I just hopeless as I sit here
As I sit here waiting for you?
I wonder if it's ever me you hear
And do you call out to me too?
I'm alone until finally you come to meet me
But I still wonder if we could someday be
And I can only hope that I'm not the only one
Or do you still fail to see
I want to mean more to you still?

I love this poem! It's so sad, and mysterious, and despairing... it's brill!
