Hoping To Become Friends Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

When wishing to communicate
With someone such as you,
We must at first reciprocate
Messages betwixt me and you.
So let us both take the time
To speak upon the phone,
And make some pleasant repartee
So that we both be not alone.
If messages in verse are not your cup of tea
Let's make a date for a meal
Or a cup of coff-ee.
So please do phone me,
And please do make it now,
So we can date and let us see,
Whether and somehow,
We can at least communicate,
And hopefully find more,
My wish for a firm friendship
Is what I'm looking for.
