You and I started
On a treasure - hunt
Very soon I discovered
The treasures we seek
Are quite different
Yours and mine
AN EARTHQUAKE AND A CHASM
Don't try to build a bridge
The pieces of earth which we are on
Are drifting forever
Perhaps we will meet again
At some horizon
But you know and I know
Horizons are only fictitious lines

a poem with many faces....horizons would not divide us
The title of the poem attracted me! What you say is true! Even the setting and the rising sun! We keep rotating with our mother earth and the sun never truly sets! And as long as we live, it is that illusion of immortality which perhaps keeps us going! Thanks for sharing! -Raj

Indeed it is luck that we unite and depart and the horizon we see is an illusion!
