Horror Las Vegas - Poem by Kamiel Choi

the loud echo of the horror
shatters a million explanations

how could the unimaginable happen
again? how could a happy concert
become a killing field?

united in disgust and dark emotions
speechless and dizzy, we stand
maybe we are holding hands, maybe
we hear ourselves singing

we see the proud facade of the Mandalay
a golden scar in the desert

something has been stolen from US
