Hot Like Summer Poem by Mishack Mchunu

Hot Like Summer

By merely gazing at her eyes
You can tell there’s more life in her hours,
There must be thunder when she cries;
She is hot like summer, even nature gives her flowers.

Angel so fly, she is a star
In the sky, dark clouds try to hinder her,
The rain to wash her away, but she’s so far
Near the heavens, the sun shall enlighten her.

They say life is short, we have fallen
But we are still alive. They say death is knocking
But the doors of our future have always been open
Never listen to devils; always lying!

They may be saying your life is through,
But how can it be? While another life begins inside you!
