Hours Of Pleasure Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Hours Of Pleasure

I always tried to throw heartache aside
Pretending it did not exist.
Singing a song from long ago
And over my shoulder all cares would flow.
Gone with the morning mist.
Each new day brought happiness my way
With hours of pleasure I could never resit.
