How did we get the message that's it's okay to abuse
How did human nature turn rouge
How did the damage become so far gone
That people are not safe in or outside their homes
How did we change from being born with love and kindness
To being plagued- to act out of darkness
How did Nyaope become most loved drug
That our hood-slums become home for thugs
How did it get to the point where a mother finds it necessary to beat her child like a run away slave
Some until an early grave
How did the colour of one skin become so superior
That it comes to the point where their motive for racism acts no longer an ulterior
How did violence over whose religion is right
Become a normal fight
How did a Doom spray become a demon healer
Scaring people about hell for submission, so that they will become believers
How did children pornography become a trending topic
Has our mind got infected with ill-logic
How did prison become a general population of gang raping
Toothbrush scraping
Shanking killers
How did violence become entertainment
Slaughter become food to order
How does a God of peace
Allow for such turmoil
How did an act of crucifixion become worshiped into songs
And replayed daily in folks minds and becoming a beautiful psalm
How does killing an unborn baby become normal and more affordable
Than accepting the gift of life
How is it acceptable- for the government to separate children from their parents
For whatever reason they deem fit
How is it that offenders of non violent crimes
Receive more time
And no one cares
For we all act like everything is alright.
