How Easier It Would Be Poem by Mal Sharp

How Easier It Would Be

Life isn't easy, that I get,
The challenges to overcome,
Draining from us much blood and sweat,
Altering who we're to become.

The pain and all adversity,
Affect us each and every one,
No matter what diversity,
There's no escape, don't try to run.

We are all in this together,
Yet stubbornly we stand alone,
Thinking ourselves very clever,
At having done it on our own.

But how easier it would be,
If you'd chosen to lend a hand,
Seeing that hand returned to thee,
Enabling you to withstand.
