How I Feel. Poem by Jeremy Willson

How I Feel.

Tugging on my unconditional love
Until its nothing but a bunch of messy string
Cheese, Swiss with many holes that are black
Jee whiz I'ma swallow up your universe
This solar system in a grand planetarium
Controlled planetary destruction in a dimmed stadium
We're nothing, yet everything to me
You are what I revolve around
Even if it's pointless
I will always be the center
Holding you together
People say I'm lyrically refined
I'm literally inclined to tell you the reason why
My feelings keep on getting declined
Like a bad credit card
I have a complicated, contrived dishevelment
But who's to say I'm not trying my best?
I'm not here to get fixed
I am who I am
Can't you feel it in your chest?
Ready to break free from all of this distress
We are slaves to our memories
Bondage is a sweet reflection of what' s best for business
Corporations captivating our convictions with commercials
Of happy people, happy faces, happy smiles
Piles of pills to keep me safe for miles
Keep me calmer than leitaunant commander Worf
Aboard the Star Trek Enterprise
At warp speed we express our new discoveries
Concealed, staying cool under pressure
A million pounds per square inch
My way towards the finish line
Escaping the displeasure
With what I know to be false within these confines
This is what I feel constantly
Or at least that's what this poem implies.
