How I Would In You Me Be Poem by johannes lewinsky

How I Would In You Me Be

I found that I could think in a new way. Or rather, it would be more accurate to say that I could think-and-feel in a new way, for it was hard to distinguish between thought and feeling... This was like becoming possessed of a new faculty.' (Quoted in Wilson; 1988: 736-737)

How i would in you me be
And how i would the all of you
Take to me and hold you with
I cannot say because i never would
myself put in a place we could but would
only ever make of you a supposition

I would in myself you feel
The you in the me
That here is and now is
The being me is
that i've met in moments of
When i've not been either
Out nor in neither on nor under
But here myself and with

Walking the world with you my love
And feeling and seeing and being
And doing still what needs to be doing
And plenty still that doesn't needdoing

But above all now knowing
Is with you here and always we are
Just the you the me & the It
Walking the world together with

In the putting to sleep of
All that this brain is
In the uprising movement of
The god that within me is
And clears me of and opens me to
And releases me from

is all that i would and all that i seek
that i may then translate to this page not
the bickerings and gibberings of
the idiot me the social me
that balances up and weighs me from
but the serpent power that in me is when I attain to
the perfect alignment of myself with
