It started in days,
Then days turned into weeks,
Weeks become months, today months have turned into years of hardship untold.
They promised, hold-on, there is hope,
They promised hold-on, light shines at the tunnel's end.
But our father's have all gone.
Even their own fathers too,
Same promises was made to them,
Yet in the wilderness of hope, they all perished.
How many more promises, need to be made,
Before the promised hope comes true?
How many more miles do we need to cross,
Before we see the light, at the tunnel's end?
How many more years do we need to stay,
Here in the wilderness of Hunger?
Here in the wilderness of insecurities and death?
Here in the wilderness of frustrations and starvation?
How many more years do we need,
To wait for our Moses,
Who will hand us over to our Joshua,
That will take us into the promised land,
Flowing with milk and honey?
It's me,
Fso.
