How Much More Silence? Poem by The Muse

How Much More Silence?

Rating: 5.0

It can't take no more
Not my bleeding heart
Not my messed up mind
I'll soon give up
And begin to forget

Forget it ever was
Forget those nights long
Forget how I forgot
My life my home
And for you alone I fought

How much more silence can I take
Before this skin begins to flake
Before this love is unbaked
I thought it was set in stone
Didn't know twas but I all alone

Speak up or speak no more
Don't come again to my door
Don't call my name
Let me be sane again
Cause there is only
This much silence I can take
