How Things Change Poem by Regena Henderson

My mind is scattered,
my heart feels dead,
I stay lost,
inside my head.
I think alone,
I feel trapped.
we're over now,
I have no doubt.
I try to escape,
thi pain inside,
nothing seems to work.
so i hide.
Where did you go?
Why'd you leave?
You could have stayed,
chose to believe.
I loved you so,
how could you not have known?
You were bad,
no good for me,
it took way too long,
for me to see.
I tried and tried,
I fought the fight,
i fought hard,
with all my might.
As I turned to look,
but you were outta site.
So I walked away,
as you let go.
Now we are simply nothing,
not anything, anymore.
